Summary: A panel discussion will permit an international overview of the challenges of chronic diseases for hospital leaders in the US, Brazil and Norway. The panelists will be discussing the following issues:

  • What is the point of view of the healthcare executives on the challenge of chronic conditions?
  • For its 50th anniversary, the OECD has highlighted the multi-chronic conditions as the major challenge: how does this translate in respective countries?
  • The patient centered care is considered as the standard practice: is it effective in most facilities?
  • Is financing of health care an obstacle for patient centered care?
  • What are going to be the major trends affecting service delivery in the coming years to face chronic condition challenges?
